Xiaomi’s Redmi Turbo series has always been popular for delivering excellent performance on a budget. Many who seek high-performance or gaming phones at mid-range prices look towards this series. Continuing this trend, the Redmi Turbo 5 is set to hit the market. Although the phone hasn’t been officially announced yet, insider sources have provided insights into its potential specifications and features.
New Powerful Processor – Dimensity 8500 Ultra
The Redmi Turbo 5 will feature MediaTek’s brand new Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. This chip hasn’t been officially unveiled yet, but it is expected to be an upgraded version of the previous Dimensity 8400.
This chip is likely based on an “all-big core” CPU design, meaning all cores will be in the high-performance cluster. As a result, the phone will offer great performance in multitasking, gaming, video editing, and other heavy tasks.
6.6-Inch 1.5K Display and Premium Design
The phone’s display is estimated to be 6.6 inches, featuring a flat panel with a 1.5K resolution. This resolution is not commonly seen in the mid-range segment, making it an attractive aspect of the phone.
In terms of design, several appealing features are included. The phone will be thin and light, with a metal frame. The corners will be right-angled, giving the phone a more premium look. This type of design has been seen in Xiaomi’s Turbo or Poco series before, so it’s not surprising.

Massive Battery – 7500 mAh
The most significant attraction of this phone may be its battery. It’s reported that the Redmi Turbo 5 could feature a massive 7500 mAh battery.
Such a large battery is usually seen in tablets or gaming phones, but Xiaomi aims to include it in a “thin and light” phone — a bold decision indeed.
The charging speed is not confirmed yet, but Xiaomi typically offers 67W or similar turbo charging in their mid-range phones. Thus, it’s expected that the Redmi Turbo 5 will support fast charging.
Might Be Rebranded as Poco X8 Pro
Xiaomi often releases phones under the Redmi brand in the Chinese market and then rebrands them as Poco for international markets. Following this strategy, the Redmi Turbo 5 could be launched globally as the Poco X8 Pro.
Previous Turbo series phones have been rebranded this way, such as the Redmi Turbo 2 being the Poco F5. Therefore, it is possible in this case as well.
While everything about the Redmi Turbo 5 hasn’t been officially revealed, the leaked information is quite promising. With a powerful new chipset, high-resolution display, massive battery, and attractive design — this could be one of the most talked-about mid-range smartphones of 2025.
If the phone indeed launches globally as the Poco X8 Pro, it might become available soon in Bangladesh and other countries. Now, we just wait for the official announcement.
